What is massage therapy?
Over the past couple of decades, massage therapy has become very popular and many people are now regularly having massages. Massage comes in many styles. While we often think of massage as addressing muscle aches and pains, massage is also very beneficial in helping with stress, anxiety, poor circulation, and ADHD among other things.
Some forms of massage are done while clothed (such as Thai) while other styles are done with oils on the skin (such as Swedish). Massage can be done on a table, on the floor, or on a special chair.
In all styles pressure can be adjusted to suit the needs of the client. Some people prefer a deeper pressure while others might like a gentler touch.

How do I know if I need or could benefit from a massage therapist?
Everyone can benefit from massage, some need it to alleviate muscle pain and others just enjoy the relaxing feeling of a good massage.
Massage can be done on people of any age. Children with anxiety, ADHD, or muscles aches will benefit from massage as much as an office worker with a stiff neck and stressful job or an elderly client with poor circulation.
Massage could help you or your child if:
- You experience stiff muscles or limited range of motion, or if you feel like you need a good stretch
- You find that you are stressed out, that your mind is always racing, or you are not sleeping well
- You have ADD or ADHD, Anxiety, or Depression
