Mindfulness Meditation

Maryse worked in mental health either as a psychologist or as an O.T. for over 42 years, mostly at the Out-Patient Department of the JGH and in private practice.  Now a certified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) teacher and a psychologist, her view of health has always been with a holistic perspective and with a client-centered  approach. Her interest in mind-body interventions started with her discovery of mindfulness meditation in 2007.

After retiring from her clinical work at the JGH., Maryse’s interest in research has been with the application of mindfulness interventions to different type of patients. She has been an interventionist offering MBCT(Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)  or mindfulness meditation to patients in different research projects.  

Services Offered:

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy(MBCT), and meditation sitting groups.

B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from U of M (1973)

B.F.A. in Visual Art from Concordia University (1978)

M.Ed. in counselling psychology from McGill (1983).

Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society
